Post-It note holders

Yes, I've been a busy girl! I made these post-it note holders after seeing the tutorial over at SCS. Of course I go to Walmart looking for the acrylic photo frames & they have none in the size I want, 1 in an ok size & really small ones. Yes- I checked the Dollar Tree too. So I used the larger one for myself & used the smaller ones for my two work buddies. I'm hoping they'll like them since they didn't turn out quite as nice as I wanted.

Yeah! It's beautiful outside...

& I have the whole day off! It's such a struggle to decide whether to do something outside or get lost in my scrap room. Either way, here's my latest projects as promised. My project was to alter a shoebox to use as a "shelf" for my desk at work. I showcased 3 diff bellas & love how this turned out. I cheated a little, on the bella with the cat & dog I "morphed" two stamps together. Since I have a dog & a cat I wanted to be fair. To make this I used: a shoebox, DCWV spring stack, stickles, Stamping Bella stamps, stickles & RoseArt pencils. Sorry, I don't know the name of the sentiment stamps, I've long since thrown away the packaging. Which leads me to this point- the makers should print their logo on the actual film the stamps cling to. Please comment & let me know what you think on this. I'm so happy with how this turned out & am gonna love looking at my lovely bellas all day long.

TGIF

Hey all! Well, all 3 of you that actually may read this lol. Anyways, I just got home from a 1/2 day of shopping that was supposed to take about an hour. You know how it is shopping on friday afternoons. I've got the whole nite & tomorrow to myself & I'm def gonna do my best to spend it on some projects I've been cooking up. Come on back later & take a look.. hopefully I'll have something posted real quick like. Also, I got the news that I'll be up for a supervisor position real soon at work now. It's something I've been on the fence about but I finally sat down & went over some details with my manager last nite. For those of you who don't know (once again all 3 of you lol) I do debt collections & I'm pretty good at it. I was kind of worried about taking on the extra stress but it seems like it would be about the same & I can be very organized, if not anal, so it should be a good fit. Wish me luck!

Today's card

So my coworker doesn't know I know it's her birthday tomorrow. Yes, I got my info in a conniving way but oh well everyone should get a card on their birthday. I made this very similar to my last card using the cuppacakeabella but added my new SU sentiment stamp from Curvy lines. I'm not too happy cause I went ahead & mounted the stamps w/o reading the directions & now I realize I was supposed to trim the stamps 1st. Seriously people! If I'm going to spend this kinda $$ on a stamp set it should at least be trimmed. I'm not paying the extra to have them mounted. Oh well, I'll know better next time. So I'm really digging this bella! I stuck w/some of the same Creating Keepsakes paper & the Nana's Nursery paper too from DCWV- I think? & of course I used stickles. FYI, I've been using RoseArt coloring pencils-- no gamsol, just trying my hand at my own shading & I think it looks pretty darn good if I don't say so myself. Anyways.. I added the black brad for a monagram look & the heart pin for extra love... awwww :)

So tired...

Well I just got home from work but I've been meaning to post my latest creations. I'm having so much fun with my new Bellas & one of the kind souls over @ splitcoast stampers is sending me a Bella sentiment out of the kindness of her heart. How sweet is that?! After getting the cupcakebella I'm regretting that I didn't also get the "hey cupcake" sentiment. But I forgot about it & now I'm totally wishing I had it. Oh well, next order. So my husband took me to Joanns & told me to get whatever I wanted-- yeah! We ended up going to an outdated, out-of-the-way Joanns that I never go to. They had the most unbelievable clearance deals. I got these really cool Creating Keepsakes kits... regularly $20 for like $5!! I stocked up on all kinds of goodies. They had the DCWV spring paper stacks on sale for $10 so I got both the regular & glitter... you know a scrapper can never have too much paper. I've decided I'm going to scrap some of the million photos that have been waiting on me. Anyways, Jamie was so cool about the shopping trip & pretty much let me get whatever I want, while well knowing how much I've been spending lately. Pretty nice!

So, the craveabella sentiment is studio g- "It's a girl thing". I don't know why I can't get these pics to take better. The bellas always come out faded looking. Both cards look much better IRL. I'm really into pinks, greens & browns right now.

Happy Easter!

My sis wanted me to make a birthday card for a coworker so this is what I came up with. She said nothing too "girly" I think so I tried to keep it plain. I just love pinks & greens together. Also, I used the new paper my SIL gave me that I absolutely love!! The sentiment is popped up & I colored over the writing on both stamped sentiments. I also added the little pink rhinestone & used white ink on the edges. BTW, no stickles on this one.. hmm.. I think that's a first :)

I made the cutest card for a swap...

then on an impulse I had to give it away & I forgot to take a pic! I hate when that happens. I used my new bella stamp & it turned out sooo cute. I used the one w/the pregnant bella shopping & they had a little gift giving for one of the pregnant girls at work. I found out about it last minute so I grabbed the card & went. She actually cried when I gave it to her... then I kinda felt bad. Anyways, I made it using my new paper my SIL gave me that I absolutely love. I'm gonna make another one just like it & I'll post it when it's done. So I've been working my nites-- have nothing to show here cause of that. I found this on another blog . Check it out. Ok I don't know why it's coming out this way..but you get the point.
